Karter had his friends James, Andrew and Cooper over last month. If taking these pictures were any indications of what is to come.. we're in trouble... James was holding Karter for the first round of pics and Karter ended up on the floor face first so we scratched that and decided to prop Karter on the floor right below Andrew and he puked on Karters head so this is how the pic ended up.. more to come throughout the years..

Sitting Up

Karter started to sit up by himself this past Tues. It's more like a balancing act but he's getting the hang of it.

Weekly Visits with Bubby 1

My Bubby [Karter's (Great) Bubby 1] and the Maslowsky family get together weekly. Most of the time she insists driving from Queens to Rockland just to see Karter - and us but we come second these days... She even slept over! And if you know my Bubby she loves her bed and her house and very rarely sleeps over anyones house. That night I had 4 generations at our house - my mom slept over as well. She loves him so much that she got down on the floor next to him - she's 88 years old and nothing stops her!!

Uncle Chris

This week Karter started to sleep on his tummy. He is sleeping a little better - but is having some trouble getting back on to his back.

He recently found his voice and is talking or should I say yelling!

Just waking up and so serious...

Last night I had 4 generations sleeping at my house. Craig was in Cambridge so Karter's Bubby 1 and 2 slept over! We had a great time - I made a fire (and was pretty impressed with myself I must say) and we order dinner in My dad and brother joined us!

Karter rolled from his belly to his back on Wed Nov 26th and rolled from his back to his belly yesterday for the first time!!

Just when you thoughts things were going just as planned..

THINGS CHANGE. My last blog entry I said Karter was putting himself to sleep. Well that lasted about 3 days. We started sleep training and are Ferberizing him. The first night went a lot better than I anticipated. The longest bout was an hour from 2:30 to 3:30 the first night. He only cried 3 mins for his morning nap. I will keep you posted on his progress but for now I am a happy mom. Thank you Maslowsky's, Kollarus's, Melly, Today, and Sarah for all your support! I couldn't have done it without you.

Craig and I went to Monica's wedding Sat night and we had a blast! Karter stayed with Grandpa Joe and Nana. Aunt Sandy and Mare got to meet Karter for the first time.

Milestones

Last week Karter started to grab and reach for his toys. He's been "talking" more and more lately and squeals in delight and excitement.

He'll only sleep in his crib during nap time (no more swing naps!) and is finally on a set schedule which gives me almost 6 hours of sleep!

All my parenting bookstalk about how important it is for babies to put them self to sleep - meaning put them in their crib while they're still awake and they should be able to fall asleep on their own without rocking, bouncing or patting. I never thought Karter would be able to... BUT just recently he has been!!

Karter's 1st Halloween

A happy bug ....

The whole family went trick or treating to meet our neighbors. Karter enjoyed the nice weather and we got to meet some young couples with children Karter's age. A very sucessful first Halloween!
