Lionel Loves His Brother

I grabbed the camera because my boys were playing so nicely together. Karter was doing tummy time and Lionel was doing what he does best - pulling the stuffing out of the animal. All of a sudden Lionel couldn't resist licking the drool running down Karter's mouth. Check out Bubby in the background saving her grandson from Lionel kisses.

Karter weighs 15 pounds and 11 onces and is 26.5 inches long - OFF THE CHARTS!!

Mommy and Me Classes

Karter and I have been taking Mommy and Me classes or more like "Karter's expensive nap time". We've been to 3 classes so far and he slept through the entire first class, and stayed awake for the first 20 mins of the 2nd and 3rd classes. I’ll keep you updated….

Good Reads and Children's CDs

I just finished "The Happiest Baby on the Block". GREAT book for new parents (or experienced parents) to read. It has strengthened my confidence to calm and soothe Karter - because of this he isn't getting overstimulated and has been napping better during the day resulting in a happier baby boy!! I started the "Baby Whisperer" and I already picked up some good tips.

My friends Jon and Melly Bonita sent us "Its a Big World" by Renee and Jeremy. Here is the website. http://www.reneeandjeremymusic.com/ I highly recommend it and I can't thank them enough for the gift. Every time I play the music for Karter he becomes memorized and almost always forgets why he's upset.

Karter at 8 weeks

Being a mom has been one of the most difficult but rewarding jobs. Karter started to become a fussy baby (colic was the word they used). My new pediatrician told me to stop eating dairy and give him Mylanta - for the past week or so he has been a new baby. He is smiling and cooing!! He has been sleeping longer through the night - I got a 5 and a half hour stretch between feeding 2 night in a row. You have no idea what that means to a new mom, sleep is the key to sanity.
