My parents watched Karter while we went back to Cali for the second time this summer for a wedding. Leo was getting married and we were on vaca - and vaca it was! We found out about a month later that this is where we conceived baby # 2.

Sept 09'
Sept was a big month for Karter. He took his first unassisted steps at Rebecca and Chris apartment on the 12th. He pulled himself up on the wall in the hallway and "ran" to me. He got so much enjoy out of it and was so proud of himself. We took the summer session off from Gymboree so when we started up again he saw some "old" friends walking who weren't last time he saw them. I think this inspired him to let go of me (FINALLY) and find his independence. Since he started walking on his own he hasn't been so clinging to me and learned that exploring is alot more fun than being attached to mama's leg.

Kollarus Fam Trip to FL
The 5 of us went to FL for a family get a way. Karter enjoyed the sand and birds at the beach - he wasn't a big fan of the ocean but he loved the pool!

Tues with BIG Bubby
We continued our weekly visit with Big Bubby every Tues. I've never seen her more happy than when riding in the back seat with Karter on our way to lunch. She loves him so much and he lights up every time we pull into her driveway!

Karter's 1st Birthday BASH
We couldn't resist celebrating Karter's first birthday with 75 of our closest friends and family and what terrific friends and family we have! People came from near and far to share such a great day with us. There were 20 kids running around outside, jumping in the bounce house, climbing in the ball pit and swinging at the pinata. Cheryl made Karter's 1st cake from scratch.

Cape May So long story very short my parents gave us a week of their time share to use. We didn't want to fly anywhere so we decided to stay somewhat local and drive to enjoy a family vacation together. The search consisted of Cape Cod (1st choice) NJ shore and we even considered VA beach or Maryland. A call came in that they had a nice 1 bedroom with a large common room and kitchen in AC. She said she would put it on hold and we could think about it but we needed to cancel it within 48 hours if we don't want it. Well 47 hours and 55 mins went by before I remembered to call and cancel but at that point it was to late. We were going to AC for a week.

The scary boardwalk rides
My parents came with Karter and I until Monday because Craig was camping with his dad for the Father's Day weekend. We didn't get good weather but made the best of it. There was an indoor pool for Karter and casinos for us adults. I won some money with my mom and Craig lost some so it all evened out. Stacey came on Tuesday and we had a blast people watching on the boardwalk and spotting JA! She watched Karter one night and Craig and I went out to eat and spend the night together.
